At Fredericksburg Golf Center our fitting specialists use the state of the art Accusport Vector Launch Monitor. Through the usage of the Launch Monitor golf clubs of any type can be fitted properly. To insure that the golfer obtains maximum distance and accuracy some very important parameters involving ball flight must be met. These parameters are:

BALL SPEED
If the ball speed is not optimized then both distance and accuracy will ultimately suffer. By using the Launch Monitor, factors such as club and shaft type, swing speed and impact can be determined to optimize ball speed thus increasing distance and accuracy.

LAUNCH ANGLE
The launch angle is determined by several factors. The launch angle directly correlates to loft and shaft specifications with each specific equipment brand. It is critical that the launch angle fall within a specific range for optimal carry and roll.

SPIN
The third and equally important factor is spin. The effects of backspin and side spin are as critical to the optimization of ball flight as any of the other already mentioned variables. With today's advancements in fitting, head design and shaft technology we can greatly vary these numbers. Remember:

Ball Speed x Launch Angle x Spin Rate = EXTRA DISTANCE
